Jalebi

Lets have some sweet...!!

Ingredients:

  • Maida(Very finely grounded flour) - 1 quarter plate
  • Curd - 3 tablespoons
  • Baking soda - 1/4 teaspoons
  • Refined oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Water - to make the batter
  • Clarified butter - for frying
  • Almonds(silvered) - 1 teaspoon
  • Pistachios silvered - 1 teaspoon
  • saffron strands - 7-8

Method:

  • Take a bowl. Mix all the ingredients and make a thick batter.
  • Heat clarified butter in another pan.
  • Take a bottle with a thin nozzle, fill in the prepared batter in it. Make roundels in shape of jalebies. You can too change its shape but it must be closed one.
  • Deep fry jalebies and soak in the sugar syrup.
  • Serve garnished with silvered almonds,pistachios and saffron strands.
For sugar syrup:
Ingredients:
  • Sugar - 1 small cup
  • Water - 1 cup
Method:
  • Take half cup of water in a pan.
  • Add the sugar into it and cook till it thickens and transforms into a one thread consistency.
Now, your Jalebies are ready to eat and serve.
You can also put un-soaked jalebies in sweet milk.
