Tikki (Italian ReMix)

A Piece Of Delicacy!

Ingredients:

  • Potato(Boiled and Mashed)- 2 Nos.
  • Tomato- 2 Nos.
  • Bread(Sun Dried and Grind)- 1 cup
  • Onion- 2 Nos.
  • Garlic- 3-4 Nos.
  • Oregano- 1/2 tbsp.
  • Chilly Flakes- 1/2 tbsp.
  • Mint Leaves(Fresh/Dried)- 3 leaves/ 1/2 tbsp.
  • Lemon Juice- 1 tbsp.
  • Butter- 5 Spoon
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  • First make a puree of Tomato, Onion and Garlic using grinder.
  • Add this to mashed potato.Add  Bread to this.
  • Add Oregano, chilly flakes,Mint,Lemon juice and salt.
  • Mix all properly and make 2 or 3 dough out of it.
  • Give them a Rectangular or Circular shape with a thickness of about 2 cm.(Basically, You have to give it a Shape of a Disk.) Here, we call 'em 'Tikki'.
  • Now, take a pan and apply a little butter on it, just to grease, and put it on FIRE!!
  • Try to fry the 'Tikki' on pan and use butter for it.
  • When you feel it has a lil' Brown and Bite'y Crust(Don't Burn it!); Use tissue to remove excess butter and extinguish the fire.
  • Serve the thing 'Tikki' with Mayo, Cheese or Sauce.
  • Now, Enjoy!

Experiment:

You can also use the 'Tikki' as a filling for Burger.
Its an Indian form of Veg. croquette, modified with Italian feel and spices.
You can use it later and store it for about 10 hours in Refrigerator. After that you have to bake it for 3-5 min and have to grease it with butter.
